From this edition our School newsletter will include updates from the Gippsland Grammar Foundation, which is the Fundraising arm of our School with a focus on major capital works. In recent years the Foundation has provided more than a million dollars in funding for Garnsey’s Art & Design Centre and St Anne’s Kukan Kulak Years 3 and 4 building. The Foundation also funds awards and scholarships, such as the $10,000 Mildred Lapthorne Fellowship awarded to a Year 12 student to assist with their university studies, the Lorna Sparrow ‘Fellow in Residence’ and the James Beard Scholarship for staff professional development.

The Foundation relies on the generosity of the broader School Community through voluntary contributions, bequests and giving campaigns. In recent years the Foundation has also raised funds through the Art Show and the now-annual ‘Grammar’s Gippsland Dozen’ wine fundraiser.

A committee of management manages the Foundation’s funds and fundraising activities, and new members are always welcome. Current members are:

President: Katy Dray
Senior Vice-President: Lara Levchenko
Junior Vice-President: Jessica Cane
Treasurer: Dan Davine

If you are interested in making a tax-deductible donation or supporting the Gippsland Grammar Foundation in any way, please get in touch with any of the committee members or our Development Co-ordinator Sarah Guinness on 5152 8400 or via email at development@gippsalndgs.vic.edu.au
