Scholarships

Gippsland Grammar is an Anglican co-educational day and boarding school for children from ELC to Year 12. We offer a broad academic education, a wide co-curricular program and outstanding success in the VCE years.

There are eight scholarships offered at Gippsland Grammar for 2025, with applications opening on Monday 4 December:

  • Music Scholarships

  • Visual Art & Technology Scholarships

  • Junior School Entry Scholarships (closed - 2025 applications will open Term 2 2024)

Scholarships allow for remission of part tuition fees throughout a student’s education and are subject to satisfactory progress and review. The year levels and number of scholarships offered each year is dependent on the quality of applicants and availability of places.

2025 Scholarships

Applications will open via the website Monday 4 December 2024.

Academic Scholarships are offered to students of outstanding academic ability, as demonstrated through the application process and results of the Academic Assessment Services (AAS) Scholarship Test. Successful applicants must have a strong commitment to their academic performance and display a desire and willingness to make a valuable contribution to the School community.

Applications will be accepted for new and existing students in Years 5 - 9 in 2025.  Students will be required to complete the AAS Scholarship Test. An interview with the School Leadership Team for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding scholarships. Applicants are also assessed on their responses to application questions and supporting documentation.

Academic Scholarships will carry between 25% - 50% remission of tuition fees for the duration of the student's enrolment, and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to school life.

General Excellence Scholarships are offered to students who demonstrate potential to be outstanding contributors in their chosen field of interest such as performing arts, sport, entrepreneurship, community service/leadership or other. Successful applicants must display a strong desire and willingness to make a valuable contribution to the School community.

Applications will be accepted for new and existing students in Years 5 - 9 in 2025, and existing students in Years 10 - 12 in 2025. Students will be required to complete the AAS Scholarship Test. An interview with the School Leadership Team for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding scholarships. Applicants are also assessed on their responses to application questions and supporting documentation.

General Excellence Scholarships will carry between 25% - 50% remission of tuition fees for the duration of the student's enrolment, and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to school life.

Finish Strong VCE Scholarships are awarded to students who are passionate about finishing strong in VCE and looking to springboard to new heights after school. Successful applicants must have a strong commitment to their academic performance throughout their senior studies and display a willingness to make a valuable contribution to the School community.

Applications will be accepted for new students entering Years 10, 11 or 12 in 2025. Students will be required to complete the AAS Scholarship Test. An interview with the School Leadership Team for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding scholarships. Applicants are also assessed on their responses to application questions and supporting documentation.

Finish Strong Scholarships will carry 50% remission of tuition fees for the duration of the student's enrolment, and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to school life.

Music Scholarships are awarded to musically gifted students who display a desire and willingness to contribute to a vibrant and diverse musical community within the School.

Applications will be accepted for new and existing students in Years 5 - 12 in 2025. Students will be required to attend an audition and provide a portfolio of musical, academic and personal accomplishments for consideration.

Music Scholarships will carry between 25% - 50% remission of tuition fees for the duration of the student's enrolment, and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to music and performance.

Learn, Live & Lead Residential Scholarships For regional students who wish to attend Gippsland Grammar, the Learn, Live & Lead Scholarship is offered. Students must reside in a permanent home in Australia that is further than 100km from the School, and commit to boarding full time at Gippsland Grammar. Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate:

  • A strong commitment to their academic performance (Learn)
  • A desire and willingness to participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities outside of the academic program of the School and Boarding House (Live)
  • A demonstrated sense of community and capacity to lead (Lead)

Applications will be accepted for new and existing students in Years 7 - 12 in 2025. Students will be required to attend an interview and provide a portfolio of academic & personal accomplishments for consideration.

The tenure of the Learn, Live & Lead Residential Scholarships is for the duration of the student's enrolment and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to boarding and school life. The scholarships will carry between 25% - 50% remission of tuition fees only. The scholarship will not cover uniforms, boarding fees, extra curricular activities or any additional ancillary charges which may be incurred.

Visual Art & Technology Scholarships are awarded to gifted students in the fields of art, design and technology who display a willingness to contribute to a culture of creativity within the School, and a desire to reach their full creative potential. Candidates with talent in the following areas are encouraged to apply: visual art, visual communication and design, media, applied computing, furnishing and wood design.

Applications will be accepted for new students and existing students in Years 7 - 12 in 2025. Students will be required to attend an interview and provide a portfolio of artwork/design/technology accomplishments for consideration.

Visual Art & Technology Scholarships will carry between 25% - 50% remission of tuition fees for the duration of the student's enrolment, and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to art, design and technology.

Indigenous Scholarships As our country's first people, we respect, honour and appreciate the diversity, culture and lessons that we can learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Indigenous Scholarships are available to students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds who demonstrate commitment to their educations aspirations. Successful applicants must display a strong desire and willingness to make a valuable contribution to the School community.

Applications will be accepted for new and existing students in Years 7 - 12 in 2025. Students will be required to attend an interview and provide a portfolio of academic & personal accomplishments for consideration.

Indigenous Scholarships will carry 100% remission of tuition fees for the duration of the student's enrolment, and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to school life.
