Boarding Roadshow showcases the benefits of boarding

Gippsland Grammar will showcase the benefits of boarding to families in far East Gippsland and South Gippsland in an upcoming Boarding Roadshow. Please read on to find out more and to register your attendance.

Gippsland Grammar has a 100-year boarding history and as it celebrates its Centenary the School continues to provide boarding opportunities to Gippsland families who want to combine the benefits of rural living with a first-class education.

Students from Years 7-12 can board at Gippsland Grammar’s boarding house, named Blackwood House, as full-time, part-time or casual boarders, with the casual option suiting families who may only need to access the boarding facilities for a single night, or even just for an evening so the student can take advantage of the free onsite evening tutoring in subjects including English, Maths and Science.

Gippsland Grammar Deputy Principal Bo Power will join Gippsland Grammar’s Head of Boarding Stuart Llewellyn on the upcoming Boarding Tour that will visit Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance, Omeo, Mallacoota and Yarram in early May.

Mr Power said the key to a successful boarding experience was building relationships between the school and its boarding families, which he is looking forward to doing by meeting current and prospective boarding families in their home towns.

“Relationships are critical to any education setting and are even more important in boarding,” Mr Power said. “Both Stuart are I are looking forward to getting on the road to meet with current boarding families in their home towns as well as to meet any prospective families that are interested in learning more about the quality boarding and learning experience that Gippsland Grammar provides.

“Events like this are a wonderful opportunity to strengthen those boarding relationships so let us shout you a coffee or a meal.

Current boarding families and families interested in hearing more about the boarding experience are invited to meet Mr Power and Mr Llewelln at the following events:

Wednesday May 1: 3.30pm afternoon tea at Albert & Co, Lakes Entrance
Wednesday May 1: 7pm dinner at Golden Age Hotel, Omeo
