A tour and a cup of tea, anyone?

On the back of three successful school open days, Gippsland Grammar is now giving locals the chance to visit the leading independent school to see students and teachers in action during a normal school day.

Called the ‘Tour and Tea’ there is one planned for each of the School’s three campuses during term 2 and they are open to everyone, from those interested in the three and four year-old kindergarten program to those about to transition into secondary school or embark on the VCE years.

On April 16 Garnsey Campus in Sale, catering for Years 7-12 (and boarding students) will be open 9-10.30am, while the other events for the junior campuses with Early Learning to Year 6 will be held next month (May 13 for St Anne’s Campus, Sale, and May 14 for Bairnsdale Campus).

Registration for these events are open, visit gippslandgrammar.au

Principal Michele Wakeham said the midweek ‘Tour and Tea’ had proved popular over the years.

“The Tour and Tea events are a more casual and personalised approach for locals to further explore the School’s facilities and see our amazing students and teachers in action,” she explained.

“It’s a unique first-hand perspective on student life at Gippsland Grammar - a normal school day so you will witness teaching and learning at its best, and then over a cup of tea or coffee, you can ask any member of our Leadership Team any question you might still have.”

Mrs Wakeham wanted to point out that April 16 was the first week back at School for Term 2 and said it was also the week of Gippsland Grammar’s musical production “Can Me If You Can” at Garnsey Campus.

“This event is open to the wider community and tickets can be purchased - another great opportunity to see our students in action,” she said.

Performances will be held Thursday April 18 at 7pm, Friday April 19 at 7pm and Saturday April 20 2pm and 7pm. Reserve your tickets at trybooking.com/COATP
