We were also lucky enough to begin our camps and trips for the year. In week 2, our Captains, Vice Captains and Prefects attended the annual SEISA Leadership weekend at Newhaven College. This provided our student leaders with an opportunity to connect with student leaders from other schools, participate in variety of leadership training activities, and hear from a highly influential innovator, Matt Bowtell. We hope that this experience will help guide our own student leaders toward a hugely positive impact on our community in 2023.

There have been many other events and activities for our students this term. Our Year 8 students participated in their 2-night Cape Conran camp. This was a hugely successful event with some of the best attendance rates we have had on a camp since returning from the pandemic. These are such important activities for our students, and we hope to continue seeing high attendance on all the camps and trips included within our programs. Some of our VCE students have also begun their adventures, with the Year 12 Outdoor and Environment students completing their first camp this week. Our Year 9 students and families were welcomed to the campus to learn more about the trips and activities this year, including their Melbourne experience. We also had three students accompany our Chaplain, Reverend Dr Tim Gaden to the Archbishop’s Anglican Schools Forum at Melbourne Grammar. It is so pleasing to see our students taking an active role in shaping the direction of the Anglican Church, and Anglican schools, in Victoria.
