SEISA Arts Workshop

On Tuesday March 14, 10 of our VCE Art Making & Exhibiting students attended ‘SEISA COLLABORART’, a day of art workshops at St. Paul’s Anglican Grammar, Warragul. The workshops bring together teachers and students from six schools to learn and experience art activities outside of their usual courses.

This year the program of five workshops consisting of:

  • Printmaking: with artist Jenny Peterson
  • Innovative Linoleum cuts: with artist Helen Timberry
  • Art of the Street: with artist Darragh Coyle
  • Pen on Parchment: with artist Anita George
  • Sculpting techniques with clay: with artists Bek Vandyke
  • Painting with Acrylics: with artist Janine Goode

The school was represented by the following dedicated Art students; Sophie Brown, Emma Coleman, Isabella Godde, Trista Leighton, Eden Levchenko, Madi Nicholas, Tali Oats, Sage Walters, Ashley Brutovic and Lily Reynolds

VCE Art Making & Exhibiting teacher Nadine Lineham said all who participated gained a great deal from the day. “Special mention has to be made of the wonderful results achieved by Sophie Brown, Maddie Nicholas and Eden Levchenko for the sophisticated pieces they produced,” Ms Lineham said. “Sophie and Maddie were able to demonstrate excellent building techniques using clay and Eden undertook the Innovative Linoleum studio workshop and was able to demonstrate a wide variety of colourful printmaking techniques.”
