Grammar’s ‘Gippsland Dozen’ wine fundraiser returns for 2022

We are pleased to announce the return of Gippsland Grammar Foundation’s fundraising initiative Grammar’s ‘Gippsland Dozen’, for 2022.

This annual fundraiser sees our School partner with four local wineries with associations to our School – Blue Gables, Glenmaggie Wines, Lightfoot & Sons and Tambo Wines – to offer carefully-curated boxes of half dozen or dozen premium Gippsland wines.

The ’Gippsland Dozen’ remains the only way to buy a selection of wines from each of these Gippsland wineries in one easy transaction. There are six wine selections in either white, red or mixed half dozen or dozen boxes, with prices starting at $179.

Order your ‘Gippsland Dozen’ here:  https://store.gippslandgrammar.vic.edu.au/

As always, this fundraiser is perfectly timed for Christmas and is well suited to supply a tipple for your own festive gatherings or to gift for our family and friends. With this in mind, we will again offer our Christmas gift card option that can be inserted in any boxes that we can then deliver for you.

Grammar’s ‘Gippsland Dozen’ fundraiser is organised by the Gippsland Grammar Foundation, which was established in 1985 as the fundraising arm of Gippsland Grammar with a purpose of raising money for capital works. So far, this fundraiser has sold more than 300 boxes of wine and raised a significant amount of money for our new Art & Design Centre at our Garnsey Campus. Profits from this year’s fundraiser will go towards future capital works across our three campuses.

Orders close on Sunday November 20 and the wine will be ready for delivery or pick-up from our Garnsey Campus from Monday November 28. To see the combinations of wine offered and to place your order, please visit: https://store.gippslandgrammar.vic.edu.au/

Gippsland Grammar remains incredibly grateful to the wineries who have generously supported this fundraiser, which include:

Blue Gables:

Blue Gables is a boutique vineyard owned and established by Catherine and Alistair Hicks whose three children, Lachlan, Ashton and Indiana are current students and recent Old Scholars. Blue Gables is a family-run business with all the family actively involved in the work that goes into making Blue Gables wines and the operation of the Cellar door on weekends. https://www.bluegables.com.au/

Glenmaggie Wines:

Glenmaggie Wines is owned by the Dawkins family whose association with Gippsland Grammar goes back to the 1970s and ‘80s when winery owner Tony Dawkins and his brothers were students. Tony and wife Fleur’s son Jack is also an Old Scholar (Class of 2016) and Tony’s late mother Ailsa was a member of the JJAGAN group (the School’s former fundraising group) and Tony’s father Ray famously coached the School’s under 18’s football team to consecutive premierships in 1970/71. https://glenmaggiewines.com/

Lightfoot and Sons:

The Lightfoot family has been a long-time supporter of Gippsland Grammar with father Brian serving on the Gippsland Grammar Board and sons Tom, Rob and Nick attending the School the 1990s. These days, Rob and Tom manage the vineyard and winery with Rob the general manager of the business and Tom the viticulturalist and winemaker. https://lightfootwines.com/

Tambo Wine:

Tambo Wine’s vines were planted and are now tended by Bill Williams, with wife Pam Williams taking care of the winery’s cellar door. Pam is a former, much-loved teacher at Gippsland Grammar’s Bairnsdale Campus and Pam and Bill’s daughter Arabella is an Old Scholar (Class of 2011). https://tambowine.com.au/
